2013 Keynote Speaker: Merril Hoge
NATA is proud to announce that Merril Hoge will deliver the Johnson & Johnson Keynote Address on June 26 in Las Vegas!
Hoge, former Pittsburgh Steeler and current ESPN analyst, will speak about the concussions that forced him to retire from football and his inspiring battle with cancer. He’ll also speak about the idea of common versus uncommon behavior and how it can set a person apart.

Champion short-track speed skating champion, Apolo Anton Ohno, shares his personal story behind his remarkable success, as well as the hard-won truths and strategies he has discovered in good times and bad. In 2000, Apolo was diagnosed with exercise-induced bronchospasm (EIB) – a temporary narrowing of the airways during or after exercise that can make it difficult to breathe – which impacted his performance on the ice. As part of this lunch and learn, Apolo will share how he overcame symptoms of EIB and went on to become the most decorated U.S. winter athlete of all time, what he’s doing to raise awareness of the condition and why we should all live life with zero regrets.
